MEET TOM

NEW LEADERSHIP ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN OF OKLAHOMA

I am running for the Oklahoma House of Representatives seat in District 80. I am a resident of South Broken Arrow for nearly 40 years and Oklahoma all my life. As a retired pharmaceutical rep with 33 years in that business, I worked as a specialty rep dealing with many types of health care providers from doctors to VA Hospitals to managed care and pharmacies.  Because of this, I am aware of the many challenges that everyone faces with health care today. Additionally, I taught high school  and coached basketball and baseball for 3 years in Oklahoma  and currently substitute teach in Bixby a couple of days a week. Education for all students is something very dear to my heart.

As a native Oklahoman,  I was born and raised in Edmond. I graduated from Edmond High School and obtained a BA in History from Central State University (now UCO) in 1974. I am part Sac and Fox Indian. I married my fantastic wife Marsha in 1975. She was a Media Specialist at various schools in Bixby for over 30 years until she retired in 2014.

I have 3 children who all graduated from public high schools in Oklahoma and attended college in our great state.  I have 3 grandchildren.  My hobbies include running , golfing, cycling and reading. I believe a quality public education for all Oklahoma children is the most important legacy that we as Oklahomans can give to our children.

I have never run for public office before and am not part of any political hierarchy nor have I ever been involved in party politics. If you would like to see a change in the Oklahoma legislative agenda, vote for me to help ensure that all children of Oklahoma have the right to a great future.
